In a major update from Republic TV, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to slash 30 percent syallbus for classes 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th . CBSE has announced revised 2020-21 academic curriculum. The cut in syllabus has been issued to match the gap in education due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank himself announced the revised syllabus for Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Classes 9 to 12 in press conference. In June 2020, Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Shri Manish Sisodia had requested authorites to look in scope of 30 per cent reduction in syllabus for all grades to make up for the loss caused by the pandemic.
