Shiv Sena's Youth Wing Yuva Sena has filed petition in Supreme Court against UGC's decision to hold the examinations in universities and colleges. Recently UGC announced that universities and colleges will hold end term examinations at end of the year for final year students.
But Now Aaditya Thackeray led Yuva Sena has asked Supreme Court to intervene into decision to hold the examinations in COVID 19 Pandemic. It has pleaded the court to stay the examination for sake of students health and life.
The matter is in court and to be heard.
Aaditya Thackeray has requested UGC to not hold the examinations and release results on basis of previous year examinations. If a students wants to give examinations then he/ she can do this after end of this pandemic.
Yuva Sena Secretary Varun Sardesai has asked UGC that at the time when urban areas are going into lockdown again; why the life and health of students and teachers is left at stake. The Guideline of UGC must be reconsidered.
We believe that academic excellence can’t be judged by 1 examination and for academic excellence, we must calculate the aggregate marks of the past semesters.

Beyond which, if students still feel the need to appear for an examination, they voluntarily may do so post covid.
