This article is a break-down of what we did and saw in two days of our recent trip to Hyderabad, India. We visited the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad (located in the southern part of the Deccan Plateau) due to an interest in their design and architecture, as well as their rich history. Additionally, Hyderabad is one of the top 10 fastest growing cities in the world and will likely become a hub for large Indian corporations to foster innovation especially because it was given as a gift to Nizam (the then ruler of this region) by the British later becoming a hub for US companies setting up in India.

Hyderabad is definitely a place that you should look into if you are thinking about traveling for the first time to India. As such, it is difficult to take a definitive stance on the region. While companies can utilize Hyderabad for its timezone and business culture, there is little else that the city has going for it. Companies looking for a cost-effective option should look into setting up operations here.

One's opinion is always one's own. When I went to Hyderabad in 2016, I did not have enough time to visit the city. In fact, I had a very limited time because I was in transit and that time had to be utilized on the road. So this was the first time when I had gone to Hyderabad and there so many things that you can explore if you have some more time.

The convention was as remarkable as it was fleeting. With media personalities and Indian tech icons, the convention seemed to touch a chord with all those who could make it in two days. However, it is important for world leaders in their respective areas to not just come here and talk, but also get to meet India's new generation of going-global entrepreneurs. It is equally important that we ensure that such conventions remain intimate and limited in size so as to ensure everyone's opinion is heard and respected, lest the whole thing turn into a glorified award function.

During those two days, many of the participants studied English intensively with the goal of passing an internationally recognized certification exam.

Best practices with regards to tone can be tricky to nail down since it's inherently subjective—but feeling as though you can identify what works for your brand and audience will only come with time and experience.
